Mr. Omansky currently runs the patent-pending SkyRank System of Hedge Fund Ratings, its parent company formed in December, 2000.
The System is the most comprehensive hedge fund rating system in the industry, currently rating over 4,000 hedge funds, over 1,200 funds of hedge funds, and is the foundation for a variety of alternative investment products and services.

The SkyRank System of Hedge Fund Ratings has received rapid acceptance in the hedge fund industry as the Standard in Hedge Fund Ratings, and is featured on HedgeFund.Net for providing ratings to the HedgeFund.Net Tuna Averages.
Prior to his work on the SkyRank System, Mr. Omansky created, developed and traded a successful equity options volatility model for Tradelink LLC, a Chicago-based hedge fund with over $500 million in assets. Prior to working with Tradelink LLC, he was the top-ranked trader of 150 market makers at Lakota Trading Inc., a market-making entity on the Chicago Board Options Exchange. Early in his career, Mr. Omansky worked at Merrill Lynch and Fidelity Investments.
He has most recently been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, Institutional Investor, Global Pensions Magazine, and RealDeals Magazine. He was recently asked to sit on a panel at the upcoming 12th Annual GAIM Hedge Fund Forum, June 21-23 in NYC.
He received his MA in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University and his BS in Economics from Clark University. Additionally to his studies in the U.S., he spent six months studying international business in Mexico City at ITAM. He is fluent in Spanish. He holds the Series 65 license. He is married with one son. Mr. Omansky prides himself on working under a highly ethical standard.
